In this series Babalawo Obanifa will make comprehensive
documentation about Orisa Olu Odo In Yoruba spirituality. There are
been many misconceptions by many practicing Babalawo and Orisa practitioners about Olu odo ,for example , I have heard where many practicing Awo said Yemoja
Is Olu Odo, some will even say Yemoja Olu Odo. Some erroneous school of thought
in Yoruba tradition as well has opined that that all Orisa like Osun,Yemoja Oluweri,
and any orisa that is affiliated with water can be regarded as Olu odo. With
due respect to those who held this aforementioned erroneous view and teach them
.Their view is wrong and base on misinformation and spiritual miss-education.
In this current work I have make my
finding across Yoruba land as whole and I am going to explain genuine information
about Orisa Olu Odo and area of
influence.
Who Is Orisa Olu Odo ?
Actually the deities
been refer to as Olu odo is not one. In Yoruba spirituality according to what
the elder pass across to us. Olu Odo is a termed used to describe the spiritual
being or beings that are responsible for sanitation of any rivers, stream, and
ocean or water body. It is believe that every water body has messengers that
that are responsible for clearing it surface of garbage, refuse and dirt. It is believed that Olu Odo energy work with
flow or river currents. Every flowing river or current have it. It is believe that
any river that lack the current or capacity to clear it surface of dirt, refuse
and garbage cannot be say to have the active deities known
as Olu odo.
Olu Odo is not worship as
Orisa but some elder do appease it with a piece of white clothes, kolanut and
gin. It is instructive that Olu odo deities
cannot be appease with other thing because

Obanifa

Olu odo.

Obanifa

Olu odo.

In my opinion, I believe the Yoruba tradition of Ifa-Orisa sits at the top of the pyramid of every practical, theoretical, and traditional practice or study. Again, this is simply my opinion.
I awakened to my spirituality in a very horrible way. I’ve written about this here many times before but it was my spirituality, my awakening, that pushed me to Ifa. As a matter of fact, after my awakening, I was told to go to a church that I did not grow up in: Revival/Zion. While in the revival church, I began to use the wisdom that my sweet Padrino had taught me years before to show the way of studying nature to the Bishops and Pastors of my church. Eventually, same church, or should I say the same Christian God, sent me to Africa… to Ifa.
Now this post is about the spirituality behind Ifa and Orisha as a traditional practice.
In This Post, I Will Try My Best To Explain What Is Happening Behind What You See.
In Nigeria, Ifa traditional practice is the study and veneration of nature as pure energy. What I mean by “pure energy” is this: Every leaf, every stem, every flower, etc. all have a particular animistic energy that allows it to work for human beings and the earth.
These energies are all of Light.
*Note: No energy that comes up on our Earth Plane is ever dark. They are all Light. When that energy gets ready to play a “negative” role in our lives, that energy now manifests itself as dark. Malevolent beings are seen as dark beings, but they are actually Light beings that take on the “role” of dark when something needs to happen (i.e. car crash, natural disasters, even obeah, etc.) in order for something to change. Darkness is necessary because everything begins with it. Like a pregnancy, it gives way to form, i.e. change, ideas, physical manifestations, “knowing”, what is tangible, what has arrived, etc.
But Let’s Start With The Babalawo
A Babalawo, before becoming independent and working as a Babalawo for the community, must go through extensive training. Within the training, they will learn many things. Not only how to understand the use of the oracles and the verses attached to each odu, but also how to use nature for medicines (spiritually) or for work to aid humankind. Now, the master of the Awo in training also had a master, and so did the master before him and before him etc. So in Ifa, everything is handed down orally.
What is not realized by some is that those old masters are the ones who now sit beside the Awos in their non-physical form and continues to teach in spirit.
A newly trained Awo can cast Ifa, but it also depends on how open his spirit is to receive the information from generations of non-physical, well-trained masters. These non-physical masters will not only teach him while he works or studies, but also while he sleeps.
So some Babalawos will know extensive knowledge about odus without ever having been taught by their physical master. It would be a “knowing” that they develop, and this “knowing” is what is given to them by non-physical teachers.
Everything in life is spiritual, whether you know it or not. Nothing is ever mechanical.
Ifa Traditional Medicines
A leaf burnt to make a medicine instantly becomes a spirit. How? Because there was a spirit attached to this leaf before it was used for this preparation. This is why every tree and every leaf has a name, just like every human being has a name. So, if I wanted John to go to the shop for me, I would call him by his name and send him on errand.
Just like calling John, the Awo has to use incantation to “wake up” the medicine in order for it to now become “alive” and go out to work for the human it will be given to. By “alive” I mean that the medicine has now become a messenger. If you have used the Herb & Prosperity Medicine from the shop this is how that medicine works.
Now, when I send John to the shop, John needs a mode of transportation. When the Awo makes the medicine, it will now use the breeze to carry it through. If the medicine was for prosperity, it will use the breeze to search for avenues to bring prosperity. Because the breeze is an element of nature and a force within itself, it will now become activated by this medicine, and the two work together for the benefit of the human.
How is this knowledge given so that it can be passed along through generations? All of this knowledge is not only passed down through training, but also through non-physicals (a spirit still alive and conscious). The more a non-physical assists the human in evolution and growth is the more that non-physical elevates into Light Continuum.
The spirituality behind tradition is the activation of non-physical beings who must also be propitiated always. Therefore, the reverence and sacrifice to the ancestors and your Ori are important. It is the non-physicals or those from the ancestral world that will lead someone from Iceland or Greenland all the way to tradition without them ever having heard of it before. They, the spirits, are like salt, which without it, the food can never be good. They act as an activation for everything spiritual that needs to be done or learned.
What Happens When You Are Initiated
I spoke to someone yesterday who was a part of a particular spiritual house in America. She practices a system similar to that of the Yorubas, although she is not initiated. During our conversation, she informed me that she had done a ceremony to receive Elekes (ìlẹ̀kẹ̀ in Yoruba).
After the reading, I asked her “Who will initiate you?” and after she told me, I wished her the best, but being who I am, I could not end the conversation without sharing some information.
If a person needs to be initiated to Ifa, a trained and competent Babalawo who is the reprensentative of Orunmila on Earth and has the Ase to pass over will be the one to do this type of initiation. If you initiate to an Orisa, the Babalawo will call the custodians of that particular Orisa to assist him. The custodians hold the Ase (power/rights/rituals) to that Orisa, therefore it is they who can pass it over correctly. However, it is compulsory for a Babalawo to be present during an Orisa initiation due to the necessary odu and sacrifices that will be needed.
Neither a Babalawo nor an Olorisa can do an Orisa initiation by himself. Every person involved comes with their own Ase to impart.
Getting initiated to Ifa is a very big protection for many things, which I will explain soon. Getting initiated to an Orisha, on the other hand, is like having your personal guardian angel support your destiny. However, as I said before, Ifa is a guide. So imagine someone directing you: make a right here, don’t go there, go straight, avoid there, etc. This is the role of Ifa. The interesting part is that everything Ifa is guiding you away from or guiding you towards are all things written by you (your spirit). You were literally the author of your own destiny.
Initiation to Ifa is an amazing rights of passage to your spiritual journey, evolution and elevation. However, there are some that initiation is a must for. There can be many reasons for this: a chosen destiny, to save a life (or lives), healing, to collect a great blessing, to stop an ill fate, to rewrite a destiny for the better, for protection, etc.
Before initiation, a person may feel their life is unaligned. They may experience many things: obeah, confusion, difficulties, they may feel lost, or drawn to a particular or many roads of spirituality, at times life may just become too hectic. If we were to take an X-RAY of that person’s life, the X-RAY may look something like this:
After initiation, and adhering to taboos and keeping up with sacrifices, the person will now become aligned with their destiny. Therefore, what has been tangled before now gradually begins to untangle, until finally those chaotic lines straighten out. This is when the initiate has become aligned totally with their destiny and the X-RAY now looks like this:
This does take time but what it does is ground and balances a person spiritually, emotionally, psychologically, physically and then some. For some, the process can be gradual, but then no baby is born and walks out of the hospital.
This is why Ifa initiation is recommended to be done first because Ifa is the guide. It is through Ifa that one will now know not only the Orisa that rules his or her head but also the Orisa(s) that he or she will need to support him or her through their life.
You do not have to be Yoruba to embrace this tradition. Ifa’s children spreads far and wide across the world. It does not matter if you are Christian, Muslim, or something else, if Ifa is in your blood, Ifa will find you.
Getting Ifa is like being handed a book of your own destiny. The title of the book is your Odu and inside of this book are all the things you have written for your life before coming to Earth; both the good and the bad. As the Babalawos read your book and interpret, they see many things: wealth and plenty of children, or famine and poverty. However, because we create our realities, initiation helps you rewrite your destiny. So if famine, poverty, untimely death or illness was in the future, with Ifa’s guidance (i.e. a sacrifice, medicine, taboo, etc.) that unfortunate future can be changed.
Observe the image above which was taken during an Obatala initiation. Everything used during initiations has its specific meaning and symbolism. From the cloth they wear, to the way the cloth is tied, to the markings (a coded language) written upon the head and body, to the movements or sounds made, and propitiations. All of this is done ritualistically in the calling down of the energy (Orisha).
What Energy Has To Do With Initiations
The entire initiation process is a process of transference, shifting and manipulation of energy. I use the image above to show you the hundreds (or thousands) of dots floating around. Those are energies, or spirits.
So the “force” (Orisa) that is called upon you now becomes “apart” of you. In a metaphorical way, it sits atop your head and you and it have become one. As time goes on, you will begin to take on characteristics of that Orisa. This will take time as the Orisa develops overtime within the person. So the older you get, is the more that energy binds itself with you.
We ascribe gender to Orishas only for better understanding of the human due to limitations of the mind. However, Orishas are pure energies and therefore genderless. Shango, for example, is seen and described as masculine because of the harshness of lightening and thunder and the rage within fire. In human form, these are masculine traits. Osun is seen as feminine because the river is seen as soft, sweet, clean and flowing.
When these energies are now placed alongside or within any type of ancestral spirits or statues or ascribed a new personality, that pure energy is no longer pure. If you put a masculine pure energy and change it to a feminine energy, and that feminine energy is not pure but is instead ancestral, then that once masculine energy has lost its purity. So what happens when that new energy is given to someone during initiation? It is like a hybrid and just as that energy has been crossed or tainted, so will now the human become. This, fortunately, is not the case in Africa.
The Yorubas have mastered the art of manipulating energy correctly.
Initiation includes certain sacrificial rights, the feeding/propitiation and invocation of energies and inviting them into the space through acts and symbolic language. It is further advanced through sound such as drumming, singing and dancing. The words, melody, and tune all work to create a passageway for that particular energy or source to come down. In other words, we are calling “spirits/live energies” and calling them into this space. It is to create frequency which will act as a signal to the particular Orisa you are seeking to come.
So this is a part of what I mean by “passing along Ase” because it is the custodians of the Orisa that will know the correct rights and rituals or insignia to bring in the Orisa.
In the world of Occult, you can not call a spirit unless you know his signature, otherwise everything can turn upside down for that person.
Each initiate, including the new initiate, carries the Ase of that Orisa. That Ase stays within that individual and grows more and more and more as he develops further into his spirituality. So, the custodian passing along his Ase is him or her passing along that energy. The longer one has been initiated or has been a custodian of that Orisa is the more powerful and potent his or her Ase becomes.
There are so many things to know in understanding Ifa-Orisha from a metaphysical point of view. There is much to learn because most of us on the other side of the world were not born within the tradition.
It was a journey for me to get to Ifa (the struggles I had in my life), but I have arrived, and at my best. I have brought my children along, and I believe this is the best thing I have ever done for them.

THE SPIRIT GUIDE AND YOUR SPIRITUAL DOUBLE
I remember once when I lived with the “Wicked Baby Father” while we were having problems which were overwhelming for me (a lot of cheating, lying, and cruel treatment). One night while he slept soundly, I laid awake in the dark contemplating my life. With only a glimmer of moonlight peeping in, I was, as usual, alone in my worries.
I heard a voice speak in the darkness. The voice was my own but the audio did not come from my mouth. It was around Christmas time and Christians around the world had energetically invoked the energy of the Christ consciousness as they do every December. The Christ consciousness was floating all around the world, and New York was no exception. With me being Christian-minded at that time, I was not immune to its visit.
The question I heard my voice ask was: “What can I do to help me and my children?”
The voice that answered told me, “Get up and read your bible now“.
The voice was clear and present and emanated from the air. No way could this be God… could it? I did not imagine it. Being spiritually young and Christian-influenced at the time, I could only call that voice “God”. All the same, I did not know what it was and so I drew my covers over my head and slid closer to the Wicked Baby Father, my eyes darting from left to right in the dark.
When I became spiritually wiser I realized that I indeed got a message that very night to the answer I sought. It told me to read the bible because an energy had been invoked by Christians around the world and it was passing through. I was Christian minded in belief and faith, so it was befitting for me to “read the bible”, as the “voice” knew that that was where my faith laid.
However, the voice I heard was not Jesus or God. It was a divine presence who perhaps was passing through or simply has never left me. I have not figured it out as yet, nor have I searched.
Looking back to the times when I was spiritually and chronologically younger, I realize that there has always been a genderless voice, a presence, that has been with me ever since I can remember. I have written about it here before, and frankly, I become misty eyed when I remember times when I was going through hardships and receiving maltreatment from the Wicked Baby Father, his women, his family, and my own family.
It was this presence/spirit, that would point the way of life, my own life direction to me. He or She is that guide.
We all have our guides that are here with us to guide us along life’s path way, and there are more than one. There are 3 main guides with each of us, and each guide has their own “family”. In other words, a guide that is assigned to you, has many other non-physicals it also travels with to assist your life on Earth.
When I discovered the Yoruba philosophy of Ori, one’s head or inner consciousness, I began to understand that a part from our guides (which are not ancestors, but high non-physical beings), we have an even higher divinity: the Ori. Our Ori can be viewed as our own personal God/creator.
Yes, our Ori is our greatest divinity, assisting us here on earth. It is our higher self. I will write on Ori another time, fascinating subject.
A part from our ancestors we have many different guides who function in different ways in our lives.
There is a special one who I have never seen, and I have no idea if it has masculine or feminine qualities, but it has been with me ever since I can remember. Here is one of many stories I have of this special guide.
I have written about this before but in the interest of this post, it bears repeating.
There was a time when I was under heavy spiritual attack (obeah). I was about 22 years old when an enemy threw a sword (a spiritual blow) at me and in the middle of the night while I slept, something woke me up. The person had no form, but he (although I do not know the gender, I will describe it as “he”) was there close to me in the room. The voice I heard was like an imprint upon my brain.
“Look at the Pole Cat coming,” it said.
I was able to see through my bedroom door and to the balcony which was off my living room, an animal that looked like a mountain lion (not a pole cat at all, but certainly dangerous) had broken the glass door and was stealthily creeping towards my bedroom.
It was then some male forms, as tall as the ceiling, formed a chain around my bed. The animal came into my room and tried to poke its head through the ring of beings that banded together around my bed, and became frustrated when it could not penetrate them to get to me. The animal turned around and left. I watched it walked away, amazed rather than frightened.
The voice then laughed softly and said, “It came as a Pole Cat and now leaves as a Paul Cat.”
This meant that the power the beast had come with had been cut down. The spiritual blow had failed.
This same genderless voice has taught me a lot over time, and I know how to differentiate it from the ancestors, my Egbe (see post on Egbe) or even my Ori. This particular being speaks to me while I sleep, it makes its presence known, but has never allowed me to see it or even recognize it’s voice as masculine or feminine.
If you are a psychiatrist reading this post, to hell with your diagnosis!
Now, I want to introduce you to someone you may never have heard of but they are with you. Someone who is quite familiar with you, although you may not know of their presence in your life. Someone who loves you as much as your God loves you, but you don’t know them. Someone who knows you more that you know yourself.
That someone is You!
Yes, you have a Doppelgänger, a double, here in this world and in a world unknown to you also.

According to the Yorubas, the placenta of a newborn baby must be buried properly with certain leaves and money (though not all Yorubas will do it this way) to ensure that you will have a respectful child. The spirit of the placenta will now go back to “Heaven” (or its abode in the Universe) and guide the child properly.
When a mother has a child, the baby comes out and the the placenta comes after. In our physical world, the placenta’s function to the fetus the mother is carrying is very important. But in the spiritual world, the spirit being attached to the placenta, after the baby is born returns to “Heaven” (i.e. the world where the spirit of the baby comes from) and it watches over the child from there, as its double, it’s twin.
In other words, each and every one of us has s spiritual double. You have yourself here on earth, and another you in the world from whence you came. However, because we have doubles, it also means that in the physical world, if something bitter happens to you, expect something sweet to follow it. If something sweet occurs, also expect something bitter. The baby (sweet) and the placenta (bitter).
Several months ago, I was told through the Ifa oracle that my spiritual twin was angry with me. I was shocked. The Ifa went on to explain that all my life I had always bought everything in two’s and for a while I had stopped. My heart kicked into high speed because Ifa told the truth. All my life I had always bought everything in pairs, and people would criticize me for it or tell me that I was a spendthrift. I had no idea that through my Ori, I was already aware of my twin/spiritual double, and so I took care of her/him/it/what while it protected me, alerted me, and saved me many times. It accompanied me on my journey to the world and then returned to watch over me. I felt elated at finally discovering what I wondered about for years.
Truth be told, I have always felt as if I had a twin, but I told myself it was a fantasy. Spirituality in its prime and potency is so fascinating. All that is happening to us in an invisible world, but is affecting us in the visible and material world is, to me, a wonderment. I see it like a little child looking toward the wintry sky, trying to see if the mythical Saint Nic would be navigating his slay with Rudolph in tow.
During those very difficult years I faced, alone in the world, rejected and maltreated, and afraid of what would become of me, I spent most of my days in tears. I had only small children to live for and no one cared about me. But during those years, a song would play from somewhere within the Universe that only I could hear.
We Shall Know, As We Are Known,
Nevermore To Walk Alone,
In The Dawning Of The Morning
Of That Bright And Happy Day,
We Shall Know Each Other Better,
When The Mists Have Rolled Away.
I cry when ever I remember the days when spirits made themselves known to me through song or otherwise. I may have been unloved and alone in the world, but there were hosts of non-physical beings that loved me deeply.
There were many non-physicals who were around me, but this special double, who was myself in spirit form, I knew not.
With this post, I recognize my spiritual twin, and all my guides. We all have them. It is the first gentle voice that advises us, the strange song that suddenly plays from no where but carries with it a message for us, our dreams and visions and so on.

THE METAPHYSICS OF SPIRITUAL BATHS
Many people do not know the importance of spiritual baths, what they really are or how or why they work. Within our world, our physical world, it is important for human beings to shower and keep themselves physically clean. But it is just as important for humans to keep themselves spiritually clean. Now, what does this mean?
The body can become dirty from sweat, dirt, grime, the environment etc. And of course it is natural for us to want to cleanse that all away and make ourselves feel refreshed. However, our spiritual selves, the invisible part of our existence that is attached to our physical form through force and energy carries our burdens, fears, depression, our anxieties, our anger, other peoples wickedness, other peoples jealousy, other peoples energy (which attaches itself to us negatively), all of this are loads that the human carries daily.
Like a magnet, we can pick up the problems of others (see Psychic Attacks and Energy Transference post) or wicked psychic attacks and spiritual attacks, and most often we never know this. Some people may suffer from headaches for years and doctors can not find the cause. That is because the cause is not physical. It can be caused by either obeah or simply “psychic attacks”, in other words jealousy, people speaking ill of you too much, or projecting negative thoughts against you, or even cursing you or your lineage.
All of this adds up to spiritual dirt, spiritual grime, spiritual sweat, spiritual debris, spiritual burdens and loads. While the physical body may be clean, the spiritual part of us has not been attended to.
And THAT is a must. It must be cleansed, but how do we do this?
Spiritual baths.
A month ago I received a phone call from someone in Jamaica. He gave his friend the phone to say hello to me (let’s call him Joe). It was Joe’s birthday and so I prayed for him. While doing this, I sensed that there was going to be a problem for Joe in ways of sickness. Joe did not know who I was (meaning a spiritualist) and I worried about giving him the message, but I threw caution to the wind and told him what I saw. I told him that if he starts to feel any sign of illness, get in touch with me right away if he can and I will tell him what to do.
Two weeks after, my friend called again and gave Joe the phone. Joe told me that his arm, from the elbow to the wrist was in excruciating pain and tender to the touch. He had no idea what happened as he did not hurt himself at all. Immediately, I began to pray for him and during the prayer I saw the source of the problem and fortunately the solution came also. I gave him specific instructions of a bath that he should take immediately. I then asked him if he had collected anything from someone recently? ‘Yes’ he told me. And that was it. It was witchcraft, but the witchcraft was not intended for Joe, but it caught him nevertheless.
Joe followed my instructions for the bath, which he had to take morning, noon and night of that very same day. Three days ago he sent me a message that not only did the swelling of his arm reduce and the pain disappear, but he realized that a lot of blockages in his life had cleared. He had finally gotten some gigs (he is into music), some people who owed him money called him out of the blue and returned it to him, he applied for a US visa earlier before and had received it successfully, among other things he told me.
In his own words, he told me that after taking the bath he felt “as if he could fly”. He was light and there was something within his spirit that felt that everything was going to be OK. A gloom he had not once noticed had lifted. Joe was not a “spiritual person” and did not know anything about spirituality, but he thanked me profusely and I wished him well.
Bloggers, I can not believe I have never broken down Spiritual Baths on this blog before. How could this have escaped me when I believe in them so much?

Joe told me that his arm, from the elbow to the wrist was in excruciating pain and tender to the touch. He had no idea what happened as he did not hurt himself at all. If you have ever taken a spiritual bath you will (or should) experience a light feeling just like Joe did. All the debris and damage and wickedness that you have ever suffered in your life should go immediately. I will begin to offer baths on Shop Embracing Spirituality this week. Baths are one of my favorite kind of work and can be very powerful, but first, you should know how they work.
Spiritual Baths Are For Many Different Reasons
In Zion/Revival in Jamaica, there are baths called Judgement Baths and these baths are usually made with different types of herbs and other spiritual items that can remove whatever judgement, negativity or obeah that anyone has thrown to another. In Judgement baths salt is often one of the ingredients and there is a huge reason for this. If the person is competent then salt should be included in a Judgement bath. The reason for this is that salt naturally cleanses or “cuts and clears” and at the same time it adds flavor to whatever it is added to. However, when it comes to salt… it requires balance. Too much salt can ruin something, just as too little can ruin something, this includes baths (see salt post).
Water is also a very important element in baths because it cleanses. So if you read this post properly, you’ll realize that I put salt and I put water, now the competent spiritualist will add his own ingredients to the bath like a science problem. But here, salt and water will be the base most times of the bath and what he will add and this is in this particular type of bath called Judgement, the removal of strong and powerful obeah or negative influence.
Now, mind you there are variations of salt. Table salt, sea salt, rock salt, Himalayan salt, Kosher salt, black salt, and many others. So reading this does not give you the authority to use any salt to water and call it a bath, you must be careful because you do not want to call forces that you can not manage with ingredients that you may want to put together for this type of bath.
How Do Baths Work?
In spirituality, different from tradition, baths work not only with the ingredients applied but also with what they symbolize. For example, there is a peace bath. In a peace bath, the practitioner might make everything white and this is to give the person peace in their lives, but note that each ingredient has it’s purpose that it adds to the bath on a whole but the white symbolizes peace, purity and calmness. This is a spiritual code to the invisible or non-physicals who will assist in the bath, because if you did not know, you are not bathing alone. Unseen forces are with you and assisting you to cleanse your auric field and to mend any cracks that are there or are broken.
Baths should be taken at least once every three months by everyone! But it is always best to have a practitioner recommend the baths or fix them for you. Why? Because if a person wants to take a love bath to bring love to them (and trust me, this works if done properly!) but they have no idea that there is a block in their love life that needs to be removed. Can this love bath still be effective? No. It is the practitioner that must do something to remove that blockage so that the love bath can now enter and work successfully.
This is why I do not advise for people to simply google and mix their own baths because they have no idea what stands before their life, the encumbrances, the source of stagnancy in the area that they are looking to fix, etc. So I always recommend to my people that they must always get 3 baths to effectively remove the problem and bring forth the sweetness.
I can personally testify about baths not only for myself and my children, but also for my clients. I have written this here before but a woman came to me with a problem with her foot. It was green for 9 years because of obeah. I had fixed a herbal bath for her and had given it to her at night time.
NOTE* This is another thing you should know. Certain baths have particular times that they work with. These are because of the different energies that pass through our world and the shift in energies between times. Also, some herbs or ingredients that are apart of baths are aligned with certain spirits that pass through certain hours. The practitioner should know this. Everything is about timing. Again, know what you are doing when you are doing a bath. Some baths are supposed to be taken when the sun is up and others to be taken when the sun is down, and these are all for specifics reasons. Baths can have an adverse effect if taken at the wrong time.
Now back to the story. The woman received the bath from me and not only did her foot clear up, not a spot of green left, but she then became pregnant. Why did this happen when she had only come to clear her foot? (Try to answer before moving on).
Not only did the enemy do this sorcery to hurt the woman physically, the work itself acted negatively against the woman in her ability to get pregnant. So compare this to Joe’s story, the work was not done to stop the woman’s ability to become pregnant, but it had a ricochet effect in her life and blocked all areas of possible blessings. So the bath opened everything. It’s like rubbing vix vapor rub around your nostrils and suddenly you can breathe.
It has been several years since the woman took that one bath and her life has risen so far. She has now completed her masters, landed an excellent job, opened a new business, and is now engaged. I can honestly say that that is one of my clients who has never left my side and has always been appreciative of that powerful work that did what doctors could not do.
I am not honoring myself, I am honoring the Universe for giving me the knowledge to help other people. And kudos to all other practitioners who assist people correctly and see their results!
Baths are important, just like divination, and if I could stand on a mountain top and tell the world to remember to take a spiritual bath, I would.

ANXIETY AND PANIC ATTACKS – A CLASH OF VIBRATIONS
[Audio Post]
There was a time when I thought I couldn’t speak about this. It even pained me to remember the feeling of anxiety attacks when they first began. I didn’t know what it was, I just knew how I felt. It was worrisome for me because during those times, I thought I was losing my mind.
I used to have feelings of anxiousness, heart palpitations, and hyperventilations, and felt like I wanted to just get up and start running.
But “run for what?” was the logic that spoke to me and kept me grounded.
I remember I would burst into tears at odd times and when ever I was around crowds, like going to the supermarkets, trains or buses, the feeling enhanced.
I had a crackhead friend named Debby (I had no idea she was on crack at the time, she seemed functional to me). She was a blessing in my life. I thank all that is Holy that Debby was around me because when I would ask her to follow me to the supermarket, she was always supportive of what might happen next.
The moment I would get to the supermarket doors, I would feel a force come at me so powerfully it almost knocked me over. My heart would start to race, I couldn’t breathe, I would stumble backwards, grab Debby and run to the parking lot.
I was shaking, I was nervous, my eyes were wild, and I would grab Debby with every strength I had. I did not know it then but that “force” that came at me was the collective life force, or energy, of every single person in that supermarket. The reason I had felt it was because I was being opened up spiritually, thus I was sensitive to energies . And this was the premise to me becoming who I am.
Debby would always stay with me, rub my arms soothingly, and tell me that everything will be OK.
There were times when I would just break down into tears and these miserable episodes began when I was a teenager. The anxiety began a little later outside of my teenage years and I I worried about my children because in the deep corner of my mind I did not know what would become of me.
The mistake I made was asking random people if they, too, had these feelings. Of course, some people being either ignorant or simply insensitive would tell me, “No, only mad people feel that way.” This only made me panic even more.
Anxiety and panic attacks turned into depression. And if you have ever been depressed, it is one of of the most awful feelings in the world. Much different from the anxiety and panic attacks that placed you there. I describe depression as being at the bottom of a very deep well where it is dark, and damp and lonely and scary. Looking up from the well you can see the sky and the sun and light and brightness… but how do you get there? Who will pull you up? Who will hear you?
This is how it felt for me. I felt completely detached from myself. I felt as though my body was one place, and my spirit was across the street from me, and we could not meet.
But Little Did I Know…
When all of these episodes began, although they manifested in the physical realm and acted upon my mind, what was happening to me was that I was becoming awake.
I was being “born again” in a major way. This is why when ever I meet anyone who tells me that they are suffering from depression, anxiety attacks, or looming fear of something or the other (because fear is the base of all these things) I squint my eyes and look at these people deeply. I realize that all their chakras and third eyes are opening up – and trust me, it is a jarring experience.
When you are in the same space as certain non-physical beings, and there are different levels of spirits (ancestral spirits, spirit guides, pure light beings, dark beings, or even Higher Beings of Light), the frequency these beings carry is way beyond what we can handle in our realm.
Stand beside a gong and have someone hit the gong beside you. The sound that the gong will make will be loud and resonate far. But the noise will affect you that is standing within reach of this gong, and you will feel it all throughout your body. That is anxiety. That is panic attacks.
How Does It Affect You?
When the spirit of the grandmother that died enters your space, you will feel chills, hot or cold flashes, goose pimples, hairs standing on end, slightly anxious (depending on how high grandmother is in vibration from her world), and more.
Other spirits of light that may carry a higher vibration than the grandmother, whether they are benevolent or malevolent, the person will feel a looming feeling of fear. Fear of what, exactly? They won’t know. It doesn’t matter if the spirit is good or bad, it is the vibration we are focusing on. That looming feeling of fear then converts to anxiety, and the anxiousness then converts to panic attacks.
When ever any spirit comes from their world to our world, because this Earth is lower in vibration, when the Higher Being comes, if the person is not lifted in consciousness they will feel the presence of these entities in some unusual way.
Anxiety Is The Feeling One Gets From The Clash Of Their Lower Vibrational Energy Versus The Higher Vibrational Energy Of The Non-Physical Being.
This happens when spirits enter our space or when we enter theirs.
When the person is not a practicing spiritualist or their vibration has not been risen (spiritual initiation), they will have not only the feelings described above but also a dull ache in the head and/or eye (most often the right eye, this is because the right side for most people is the more dominant side). The eye will feel intense tension as though someone is trying to pluck it out. There will also be a pressure at the back of the neck, the top of the head, or between the brows.
There are reasons for these particular areas.
Most people who go through these things are people who I refer to as sponges because they soak up the energies of other people and thus result in anxiety and panic attacks. Also, people who go through these things are spiritual people who need to get closer to their spirituality.
What ruins this, however, is becoming doped up on medication for anxiety or panic attacks, but this is for another post.
The next time you have a feeling of anxiousness or panic, know that something higher than yourself has entered your space. All you need to do is talk yourself down, and you will be fine.
I may do a class on these things to teach you the correct methods to use to overcome these feelings and how to avoid them altogether.
All Truths Goes Through 3 Stages: First It Is Ridiculed. Then It Is Violently Opposed. Finally, It Is Accepted As Self-Evident. – Schoepenhouer
THE SPIRIT AND PURPOSE BEHIND MONEY (AND WHY YOU SHOULD GIVE IT AWAY)
Everything in our world has a spiritual meaning behind it which impacts the human life. No matter how simple that thing is there lies a spiritual meaning or some spiritual purpose behind it.
In our world, in order for us to survive, different from food and water, the human also needs money… or tells themselves that to have money is to have power or more worth.
Some people are basic in their needs and are not rushing to gain anything. While others believe that they have to do what it takes to survive, and therefore money is necessary. Unfortunately, this is the design of the world in every continent, in every country. The more money one can make or achieve is the higher their worldly status becomes.
I mean who does not want to be able to afford anything they want?
But Most People Do Not Know Or Have The Understanding That Money, Itself, Is A Spirit, One That Is Difficult To Hold Onto.
To understand that money is a spirit is easy. You just have to think about the many hands the bills you “own” have passed through. It can not be personal to you as it has gone through so many different hands and have been so many different places and absorbed so much energy. And if you are not careful, when you receive it, it will also not remain with you.
The object, however, is to allow more to come, and there is a particular way that it will by using its own power on it.
Money likes to be shared, and of course it is evident by it not staying one place too long. It likes to be passed around, to be handled. It is because of its purpose of human service that it can not remain in one place too long.
Bear in mind that I am speaking about the energy that is attached to this currency. In our physical world, we give $10, $20, $50, or $100 to someone, but in the spiritual world the energy associated with money lends itself to us, and it needs to know what we will do with it.
What I mean by this is this: If I use $10 to buy food, the material value of that $10 is only that, but what that $10 does for me when I buy this food is provide sustenance to remove hunger. So it is not the money that I used to buy the food that is important, it is the value of that trade that has added to my human existence. In other words, I have to be able to sustain myself in order to fulfill my purpose. Unfortunately, most people do not see money in this way.
The spirituality behind money is charity. What is charity? According to Merriam Webster:
Charity : Generosity And Helpfulness Especially Toward The Needy Or Suffering
All of this has one purpose: we are all here to serve each other. The human connection is a chain, a link. We are all connected and through this connection we all support each other in finding our purposes. One of the ways for one to assist the other is through charity. The world is chaotic and everyday we seek to find balance, so of course there will be some who will have more than others. But if you look through “the rest” (those without), they are rich in other areas that are necessary to aid even those who “have”.
But many people are unaware how wealthy they are without money.

We are all connected and through this connection we all support each other in finding our purposes. One of the ways for one to assist the other is through charity. But if you look through “the rest” (those without), they are rich in other areas that are necessary to aid even those who “have”.
But many people are unaware how wealthy they are without money.
Mr. Joe Williams is a billionaire. He realizes that for the rest of his life he will always be wealthy because his wealth only continues to grow. Perhaps he grew from nothing to something, but after amassing wealth, he realizes that he must now become charitable. So he begins to either sponsor children for school, or set up a foundation etc. Mr. Joe William’s hope is to assist or receive feedback that those who he has helped are truly doing well.
But then he begins to realize that the more he gives, is the more his business grows and the more money he receives, so much that he realizes that to be charitable is his purpose. And this is why he has been so successful.
This realization therefore teaches him something he did not know when he was poor and hunting money.
KNOW THIS: At the core of every wealthy person is the life purpose of assisting others through what they have amassed, or else they could not have achieved it. This is another reason why those who forcibly seek money often end up in disastrous situations (see: Money Rituals vs. Money Medicines).
Every wealthy person, after amassing a great amount of wealth, other than those born into wealth, realizes the humanitarian part of them after participating in charitable work. It is not innate in some people to be givers, there are after all the Scrooges of the world who believe that all that they gain is for them and only anyone they choose. However, if we were to have a deeper look into their lives, we would see that among them there is no happiness.
Money can become almost a “demon” (for lack of a better word) to those who do not share it. One of the things that money does quite often is drive people insane. Here is a good example of this in this story of “The Richest Businessmen”:
The Richest Businessmen
“In 1923, a group of our greatest leaders and richest businessmen held a meeting at the Edgewater Beach Hotel in Chicago.
Among them were:
Charles Schwab, head of the largest independent steel company.
Samuel Insull, president of the world’s largest utility.
Howard Hopson, Head of the largest gas company.
Ivar Kreugar, president of International Match Co.
Leon Frazier, president of the Bank of International Settlements.
Richard Whitney, president of the New York Stock Exchange.
Arthur Cotton and Jesse Livermore, two of the biggest stock speculators.
Albert Fall, a member of President Harding’s Cabinet.
Twenty-five years later, nine of these titans ended their lives as follows: Schwab died penniless after living for five years on borrowed money. Insull died broke in a foreign land, and Kreugar and Cotton also died broke. Hopson became insane. Whitney and Albert Fall were released from prison, and Fraser and Livermore committed suicide.”

Everything in life has a spiritual meaning. Everything impacts us spiritually. Humans are not above spirit. We do not know the reasons why these things have happened to the men in this story, but I can bet that it has to do with all the power that they have accumulated but did not distribute in the proper way to humanity.
Remember, money is a spirit and hoarding can cause great destruction. You must give and you must have spirituality to ground you.
(*Note: Spirituality does not have to be a church or an institution. It can be as simple as your own innate compassion, empathy, need to serve, etc. Whether or not you have a belief in a higher power, these core beliefs in themselves are spirituality).

When you work for your money, no matter how small the money is, take something out of it and give it to someone.
The wealthy people you see on the television, their lives are an illusion, like living a fantasy through a mirror. Unless the wealthy are spiritual-minded or have some kind of spirituality behind them, then the money they have will not give them happiness. This is the same for those who amass money through unclean means. They will find in their own personal life many problems, and not the sort of problems the average man will have.
Either they or their children will become sickly, someone they love becomes an addict, they will suffer with moral conflictions, they experience tragedy, etc. Most of the problems that haunt these people will be psychological and emotional problems.
Why? Because all of this wealth they have gained, if it is not used to assist humanity, it becomes haunting to them and theirs. For those who amass wealth through unclean ways, it can even drive them to madness (such as the story of Sarah Winchester who inherited unclean money (or a mass of burden) and spent her life constructing 10,000 windows in her home until her death (read here).
Charity can be as small as helping the lady who can not afford another tomato in the supermarket, and adding her extra tomato to your own bill, or paying for a stranger’s meal.

But Charity Is Not As Simple As Giving To Someone. There Are Still Conditions.
When you give, you must give freely. Allow your heart to be loving and kind. Do not have an agenda behind your charitable work. Do not be concerned with what the receiver will do with what you give them. Release the money freely. Money does not like to stay in one place, it must move around.
One tip I would like to give to you all, and this is something I know for sure is that money is like a magnet and steel. Money attracts money. If you have $100 in your hand and you want to give it away, hold back $20. That $20 will pull more money, and the more you have, the more you can help.
The real Law of Attraction is learning how to give and your intention behind it. Not only giving money, but also your time, your knowledge, your listening ear to someone in need, giving good advice, or anything else. Allow yourself to be free with money and more will come. But give from your heart, not with an agenda.
The second thing to remember is that money tests you. It can appear to you in a large amount just to see what you will do with it. If you do not believe me, try it one day. Receive your income tax check or your paycheck and give it away. But first: always make sure that you attach something spiritual to your giving.
What I mean by this is give to your church, your mosque, your spiritual mentor or priest, buy a spiritual book, or give to a beggar. Beggars are in service to humanity. They are here to assist, and so giving to them can be looked upon as a spiritual duty. Never curse a beggar or chase him away, you never know what he has come to unburden from you. Just be sure to pray and touch the money to your head before giving it to him.
The Third Thing To Remember Is That Money Is Attracted To Those Who Do Not Worship It.
The more you are not glamoured by it, is the more it will find you. The more you chase it, is the farther away it will stay.
Soon, money will be of no use for anyone on this planet. It will be obliterated. There will come another form of trade that humans will use, but this will only come at the end of the current Earth’s shift.
Good luck everyone and I love you all,
Obara Meji
The Greatest Things In Life Is To Know Who You Are. – OM
MY 4 SIMPLE SPIRITUAL GEMS TO KEEP WITH YOU IN LIFE
For many years I prided myself on being assertive, aggressive, and someone who championed not only my cause but also the cause of others. I knew that innately I was extremely compassionate, but there was another side to me. A side that had a temper. Perhaps it had to do with my Astrological star, but my temperament always had to do with defense.
For all my life I had only myself and my children, and so to survive, I had to be assertive. I never took “no” for an answer and would challenge anyone who forced me or someone else to take what we did not want. I defended myself and anyone else, whether I knew them or not.
While driving through the rough roads of Nigeria, I would see Area Boys unfairly demanding money from someone else, or the day’s profits of a bike man being taken away from him. I would demand the driver to stop the car right now, pull his window down and proceed to curse and disgrace the Area Boys. They were always shocked because I would often end up cursing in patois, but I would challenge them and anyone else who took what did not belong to them.
Most people who did not understand me would see my aggressive behavior and call it wicked or egotistical, but my first instinct was always to defend and protect.
But then the Ifa oracle gave me an order. At odd times, it would tell me that no matter what I saw, or how much it hurt me, I should not react in anger. Mind your words, mind your temper, Ifa told me. For a person such as I who believed that in order not to be walked all over, I had to insert my assertiveness.
So Ifa’s advice was difficult to practice. I could not become angry if someone has used the toilet and brought me a glass of water afterwards. According to Ifa, I had to kindly accept the glass of water no matter how much I was dying inside, and throw it away when the person has left.
I even silently quarreled with Ifa for giving me this message – but I knew I had to adhere.
Well as hard as it may be, I have been trying to practice Ifa’s advice, but I have realized something. This new calmness… this new found patience (though I am not 100% there), the idea of not reacting to every bad word or insult thrown at me, the life that I see before me everyday has been better, far more positive and far more peaceful.
I realize that the old me, although I needed her to protect me, was more intense and not free enough. But the new me sees life, or understands life much better than before. So, this has now made me look at those who are naturally cool, calm and collected. Those who make almost nothing bother them, those who will have their right in their hand but for the sake of a peaceful life will remain calm and allow the barking dog continue to bark.
What a beautiful life it is to live as such.
Here are some things that you should keep in mind. They will assist you on your spiritual journey and they will enable you to overcome many adversaries, whether they be internal or external.
Put YOU First
No matter what is happening in your life, always choose yourself first. Think about you before you react to something negative – what will happen after you make this decision? This is not a selfish advice. If you can not be good for yourself, you can not be good for another person.
Often times we make decisions based on what someone else thinks, or how you believe they perceive you. Many times other people want to project themselves or their character onto you, and you will now begin to doubt yourself, if you are too weak, if you are too strong, if you are too aggressive etc.
When I was 120lb my older sister would tease me and call me fat or “Bigga” as we say in Jamaica. She would hang her head outside of her window and shout these names at me in front of all the boys, and I would hang my head in shame. I was not fat at all, but my older sister hated me and I did not know and so I was ashamed of myself until I became wiser.
Remember, twins and triplets are born one by one, so we all have our own path to walk. Always choose yourself.
When There Is War, Good Things Are On Its Way
This may be a tough one because when temperaments begin to fly, often times people can not think straight. There is something universally that affects every human being on this planet and that is: when you are about to be blessed with whatever material thing or even love or something sweet, fight or obstacles will first appear. If you find yourself quarreling or fighting with someone, or if it presents itself to you at unaware, please try your best to remember my words: avoid it. Goodness is around the corner for you!
Not too long ago, a friend in Jamaica needed my assistance. So I sent about $500 to them via Western Union. My friend went to the WU to pick up the money but he was told his name was spelled incorrectly and thus could not collect the money.
Wait – let me stop for a moment.
Prior to me sending this money, this person had been quarreling with his wife for over a week and called me to complain about her. I warned him: “Do not argue! something good is coming to you. Please do not argue.” I had no idea that the “something good” was going to be coming from me.
But he could not help himself and he quarreled with his wife everyday that week.
Now back to Western Union. After they told him his name was spelled incorrectly, I called WU and had the name changed. When he returned to the Western Union, they told him that they had already refunded the money back to me, and thus he could not collect it. I called WU again and they told me that it would take at least 24 hours for me to receive the money in my account before I can send it again. So we waited until I could send the money again.
When he went to collect the money again, each Western Union center that he found (about 6) told him that they did not have enough money to pay out. We were now both frustrated. I could not help but tell him I told you so. Here was the money, so close, but he could not collect it. He waited until the next day to go, and while he was on his way to another Western Union, he got two flat tires.
To sum it all up – it took about 5 days for him to eventually collect this money. I know to him this was a lesson learned.
Always remember, if you are expecting something good or even if you are not, know that quarrel and fights STOP progress BUT they are great indicators that something good is coming… if only you can control your temper.
Deceit Can Block Your Way
Now there are many people who pride themselves on the ability to deceive others and get away with it. However, to be honest, no one gets away with anything because the Universe is always watching. Now, many people complain about their life and that things are not going good for them in one way or the other. But at the core of their personality – they are not honest. They deceive, lie or cheat others, especially those who are trusting of them.
Now the trust is where problems will come for the deceiver. So just imagine – everybody has their own Head (Ori in Yoruba, or your inner consciousness). Michael is in America and he trusts his own family very well, and he pities them because they have never had a real home before. He is now in a better position and he will send all of his money to his family in his homeland to purchase a land and materials to build their new home. By the time he returns home to see the progress, there is no land, no property, not even a story about what happened to the money he has been sending.
Now, we may feel sorry for Michael, but those who should be pitied are those who have deceived him. Why? Because Michael’s family, for the rest of their lives, whatever makes them happy or whatever is relevant in their lives – they will never enjoy it. The consequence of their deceit will fall like a heavy hammer upon their head and only because Michael trusted them.
So his innocence becomes his defense.
Betraying someone’s trust has great consequences more so than what people call ‘Karmic Debt’. In short, it is not the wrongdoing that causes the consequence, it is the betrayal of an innocent’s trust. You can liken this to throwing a baby out of a window.
A Message Is Always Confirmed
While on my spiritual journey and about to wake up, as I have written in many posts before, the message that came to me was Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. I first got this message when someone sat in my chair in my hair salon and told me that this was what the Pastor preached last night in church.
Two hours after my client left, another client came. She told me she loved her hair and that she was on her way to church because the pastor had told her a beautiful message that said ‘Seek Ye The Kingdom of God and All His Righteousness and all others will be added onto you’. At first it did not hit me that this was a confirmation of a message meant for me, but everyday for about 3 months someone would come into my salon with this same message. I finally realized that this was not normal, and so when the last person told me the message I covered my ears and ran down the street.
God had a message for me which was “Wake up. It is time.”
So the next time you hear a message as simple as someone telling you about buying a green pair of shoes, and then by the end of the day you see a commercial about a green pair of shoes – know that this message has been confirmed.

There are many gems to write here but as the post will become too long I will stop here. But always watch for signs in life. Life speaks to us. We are not alone and we are not on our own. Embrace your spirituality and become wise to specific symbolism that nature or strangers or family or even animals will pass along.
What you must know is that not only do these gems help you in life, but they help you to advance spiritually, and I pray you all advance to where you ought to be, if even following these simple gems. Pass them along.

12 SIGNS OF SPIRITUAL COMPATIBILITY IN RELATIONSHIPS
Love is an emotion that is often fooling and blinding. We all seek to feel love within our hearts and spirit, but honestly, love is a state of being. When you are in the presence of love, you feel it. In other words, it is energy… an unmistakable energy. We all (most of us) hope to find that one true person, but love without compatibility does not a good relationship make, and there are so many signs that allow us to know if we are actually in a good match or if we are simply being disillusioned. What you must know is that all human relationships are first bounded by spiritual connection. Whether it is romantic, friendship, etc. It must first be a spiritual connection. There is a particular force field that surrounds every human being when it comes to certain areas of their life, and today I am going to deal with the relationship aspect. How do you find the person you ought to be with? First, finding the “right” one begins with you and your Mental Universe: How you think, your perception of life, and your innate desire. Let me give you an example:
Cindy Lauper sang a song called Girls Just Want to Have Fun and often times some women or men may not have it in mind to find their official partner, but to first date around or have as many sexual encounters as they can. While doing this, they may indeed have fun but then there will come a time when they will wonder why they have not found the “right one”. But what they have not realized is that they have never placed within their Mental Universe the idea of finding that person. This is why the “right one” has not yet appeared, because the mind has not focused on that kind of relationship. In other words:
We all have the ability to call forth the right person who ought to be apart of our life in an impactful way, but you must be mentally and spiritually ready for that person.
Now what is spiritual compatibility? Spiritual compatibility is finding your true match and being together forever, but only if both persons are mentally and spiritually supportive of the other’s mission in life. It is important to know that at times, one partner’s mission may be more important than the other.
So the one who may just be a supporting actor in the other’s play must be confident enough to understand and accept the light that shines on his/her partner. Often times, there is a spiritual battle between two people in a relationship which will manifest as physical incompatibility, but in actuality it is not. It is one person that spiritually feels less than his/her partner, and this will manifest as jealousy issues, over possessiveness, insecurity, low self-esteem, quarrels etc.
But this isn’t what is really happening. What is happening spiritually is two spirits are at odds, one star is brighter than the other. For a relationship to work, your stars must be aligned, not only Astrological stars, but spiritual stars. Again, it is possible to find the one you have chosen to be with on Earth, even if that person is in Japan and you in St. Vincent, but at times it can be like searching for a needle in a haystack if you are not mentally charged towards finding the one.
Here’s another example:
Sophia has always dreamed of having a husband and children. She was lucky to have met Robert. They married and all is well. Robert takes care of his family, while Sophia is a stay-at-home mom. She busies herself in her community and is well loved because of it. But Robert now feels his wife is too social. She doesn’t have time for him. Too many people call the house and are always in the sitting room, when he would rather be alone with her. However, Robert does not realize that Sophia’s mission on Earth is to spread love, joy, and unity where ever she goes and although he is her husband, he is only here to support her – that is his mission. So here, two lights that were once bright, is now dim as Robert has failed to understand the true benevolence of his wife and huge impact her personality will have on others.
will have on others.
With this example, these two are perhaps very compatible, but as human beings do have free will and have the ability to think for him or herself, it is up to one or the other to realize that each of them regardless of being together, have their own journey to fulfill.
Now, there are those whose Stars match regardless of the other’s feeling. This means that the moment they come together, both partners lives progress. Even if the guy was on top of the world, he still climbs higher, and the same for the woman. This is a spiritual compatibility – when both partners progress because of their union. When two individual stars, or light, comes together, that light should become brighter. When you enter a new relationship, if you nor your partner has moved forward, or worse if since the relationship you have moved backwards – it is a sign of spiritual incompatibility. Spiritual compatibility bring happiness, success, security, etc. Others that come around you will feel the love that emanates from both of you. Both people will be happy together regardless of what they have, they are just satisfied with each other in every possible way. However, there is another indication of Spiritual Incompatibility: If both persons enter the relationship and one of them was doing very well in life, but since the relationship, losses begin to occur (e.g. job loss, health decline, bad news, social awkwardness, family problems, deaths, anything negative) especially in the area of prosperity, if one person begins to lose while the other begins to gain, what is happening here is that, spiritually, one person is sucking the glory of the other one. This is, of course, unbeknownst to them. If either persons notices that one of them is flourishing while the other is stagnant, then this relationship should not go froward without checking spiritually. Most often, it is the stars that do not agree. Every person on this Earth was born with a certain amount of light. Some people have blinding bright lights, others have dim lights, and this depends on how great or impactful your mission on Earth is. Some people have particularly dominant stars, so imagine a car coming down the road with extremely blinding headlights that reach far and wide – imagine this quality in a single person.
Signs Of Spiritual Compatibility
igns Of Spiritual Compatibility
Upon meeting each other, life takes a turn for the better. If one or the other didn’t have a job before, a job or several offers springs up. If one or the other had any health issues, but now it begins to improve, then he/she has found his soulmate or Earthly counterpart.
Nothing matters to either of you other than each other’s well-being and happiness.
Life flourishes because of the amount of light the union has created
Compatibility can become so extreme that persons merge into the same career path (this is because the two stars have now become one, so they will now share things in common as both journeys have merged and now become extremely impactful).
Both persons should have a deep feeling of loyalty to each other
Note: Some people will find their spiritual counterparts even if they have already had their children or married several times before. They will find their counterparts in the evening of their lives. But remember – it has to do with your Mental Universe and how you have set it first.
Both persons have no problem of showing deep love and emotion to the other, becoming extremely loving and caring (even if it is against your personality).
There is also always a ‘togetherness’ with you two. You do most, if not everything, together.
With Spiritual Compatibility, you will find yourselves finishing your sentences
You will have telepathic communications without realizing it (either he/she appears or calls just when you were thinking of them)
Both will be joined by the gut. If something happens to one of you, the other will feel it no matter where he/she is.
Whatever one prays for, the other will manifest it.
When one leaves the Earth, the other will not take long to follow…
Signs Of Spiritual Incompatibility
Strong feeling of love for each other, but just can not get along
Odd arguments for odd reasons, not realizing why
One irritating the other’s spirit or vice versa
One begins to lose things, have ill luck, become accident prone, have problems with court or police or anything oddly negative that happens upon entering the relationship
Being together for a while but unable to have children
Note: This last one actually has a lot of variables such as Egbe, witchcraft, generational curses, etc. so spiritual consultation is needed upon this last one to know the real problem.
Both person’s health begins to decline
One or both having the urge to cheat or be deceptive
No strong feeling of commitment, regardless of marriage
It is not hard to find your counterpart or soulmate in this life, but it does take a little mental discipline. There are some of us here on this planet that are actually meant to assist every human being we meet, lover or friend. However, when we do get involved with someone, automatically because of our light, that person will begin to rise. In this relationship, that person now becomes our helper and will continue in the relationship only if he/she is confident and true. So in everything, try your best to display a good character. It matters in areas of your life that you wouldn’t believe. Obara Meji

ISESE L’AGBA O! – TRADITION CELEBRATION DAY
Hello all! Today I say salutations to my Padrino. The reason I salute my Padrino (who has since gone on to the land of the ancestors) is because he pointed me to Africa, though he was a Lucumi Practitioner.
I remember him always telling me that I had to choose a spiritual house because of who I was, and he prayed that one day my head would point me to the Yoruba tradition of Ifa/Orisa. At that time, I was Christian. It has been years and I am now fully initiated into the Yoruba tradition and now living the traditional life.
Today is a celebratory day called Isese Day (ee-sheh-sheh). Today, all initiates will greet each other “Isese L’agba Gbogbo Wa” (Meaning: Tradition will stay with us always), or “Aboru Aboye Gbogbo Oni Sese”, and to this, another initiate will respond “Ogbo ato”.
On this day, all Irumole (Orishas) are honored. All initiates will wear white, go to their shrines, prostrate before their Orisha, and honor the deities with offerings and prayers for their assistance in our lives. It is a day of jubilation and celebration.
It is important for everyone that has a belief system to always remember that which they can not see but know exists, and that which calls for veneration, which is the key to the human existence. There must be a focus on belief.
On this day, regardless if you are an initiate or not, because so many of us traditional people are praying fervently today, I urge non-initiates to pray also!
Because of the festivities of today, what happens is that light energies are being created with every utterance by an initiate (prayers/incantations), and so it will not only impact us but also others who will join the prayer or even acknowledge the day. Many Imole (spirits) who have not been to Earth for a while, will come today, and no matter where you are in this world at this time, I want you to observe the energy of peace surrounding you.
Celebration, especially when you are on a spiritual path, is always good because this creates frequency and upliftment to the spirit, mind, soul and body. This life that we journey needs celebration, especially spiritual ones. Today, I urge you all to wear white, pray, laugh, have fun, and venerate nature, regardless of being apart of the tradition or not.
Love and light to you all
Obara Meji
PS: To all seekers of truth, to all seekers of light, seekers of knowledge, seekers of spirituality, if this blog post or others like this interests you very much (to the point of reading it, looking forward to it, and/or commenting), it indicates that you are set apart from everyone else. Something is steering you to finding your purpose and finding your way. Therefore, I urge you all to continue to embrace your spirituality, to meditate, and keep as spiritual as you can.
What I mean by this:
Stay away from gossip
Try to be loving, caring, kind and most of all compassionate!
Tap into yourself so that you can have access to your mind (your mental Universe). Go into deep thinking on spiritual matters/subjects. It is important for you to have your alone time, unplug everything, turn off the TV and other distractions… allow all aspects of you to join together and become one. If even for 10 minutes.
You may not know it but silence is a great teacher, and one day I will teach you how this works. I will always remember you and I hope you all remember me.
Let us pray for each other and send out energies of love so that all and sundry throughout the world can feel it.
Isese L’agba!

ARCHETYPES OF ORISHA OGUN – GOD OF IRON – GOD OF WAR
Understanding these Orishas and their characteristic traits portrayed in living beings who are from their realms is to pay keen attention to each other or people we meet, through their behavior and action, we can if we have certain understanding, see the personality of the Orishas within them. Ogun, God of Iron and of War is an Orisha who is easily mis-understood, and this maybe because he is referred to as God of War.
First for those who may not be able to understand the use of the word God when it comes to describing some deities, many people are under the misconception that God should only be used to describe the Almighty creator, the supreme being, not realizing that the word God is actually a title and although there is only one supreme God, there are many Demi- Gods, ruler of their own domain and energy which the supreme being, has placed them in charge.
This explanation is for the benefit of those who may take offense to the use of the word God when it comes to any other deity.
Here is Ogun who is God of Iron, Steel and of War. Ogun is ruler over these elements of nature,Iron/Steel, it is this realm where Ogun is from and so are his children, people who are his archetypes. As to the referred title as God of war, it is the implements which are made out of the natural resources of nature of which Ogun represents and is ruler of. Iron and Steel. It is with these that weapons are made, the Gun, the cutlass, the knife, and so on. In war, soldiers arm themselves for battle with Ogun (weapons made from him, by him, from iron and steel). Ogun”s Job here on earth is Agbede (Ag-beh-deh) the Black smith, one who forges Iron. Ogun works without rest, he is constantly working.
Bad occurrences happens in the physical realms, because of the evil which human being invokes through their actions. Through lack of respect for nature and its laws human will face tragedies conjured by their very own hands. It is the responsibilities of forces of nature such as Ogun, to allow certain things to happen for man to learn. This does not necessitate evil on the deities behalf, but serves to remind the human being to be careful of his actions, to remember the supreme being, to honor nature, and to keep its laws.
The handgun stays silent, bothering no one, if left alone. The cutlass, knife and all weapons the same, it is the hands of the human which offends.
The woods, forest, bush is sacred to Ogun, woods and barks are his own also, so woodsmen are also children of Ogun.
Without Ogun, society would stand still, civilization as we know it would not be possible. The Jamaican flag is Black, yellow and green. Ogun’s color is black and green (red and black beads/elekes are worn here in Nigeria by his initiates). Ogun Yayyyyyy!!! (I have huge crush on Ogun, I cannot help myself, I love strong men) .The yellow is Osun, she came to the new world wearing yellow, and here in Africa even though her initiates wear white, her real color is yellow.
One of my sons, the first son, not the first child, a fine handsome fellow (the truth, not because he is my son I describe him this way) is pure Ogun, he is quiet and reserved, hardly you will find a talkative Ogun, although there are some. I wrote about him on the site and the former (thank God!) girlfriend. I had no idea that he was a child of the great warrior Ogun. My is son not big and burly, he is slender and always well dressed. One day I went to see the Jamaican Babalawo who took me to Africa, and he divined for my son, the Odu was Irete/Ogunda, my son is pure Ogun. I began to reflect back on him and as he grew, remembering a time when he, my son was about five or six years old, he did something and I beat him for it. In the night when the house hold settled down for sleep, I saw my five year old child standing in the kitchen holding my big kitchen knife. He had an angry look on his face and had the knife by its handle holding, while rigid in his stance.
I went to him, slightly frightened in my mind, thinking to my self “What kind in kid is this?” I asked him gently “why do you have a knife?” he responded that he was waiting for all of us to go to sleep so that he could kill us. Of course, that earned him another beating and the knives were hidden thereafter for a while.
He is a quiet boy, but he gets angry quickly at any sign of disrespect, he takes no disrespect, and yet he also forgives quickly.
Ogun is a great warrior, without Ogun you bloggers and I would not know each other, or rather there would be no blog. He is the God of technology, it is his same materials which makes the computer. Without Ogun houses could not be built, without Ogun no one could defend themselves or their country in war. Even if a sling shot is used, it is Ogun, because the stone used for the shot is Ogun. In the movie the Fast and the Furious, and where the actor Paul Walker died in a car accident, and people thought how crazy is that, he acted in these movies about racing and look how he died. They invoked in the movie the energy of Ogun, known to them or unbeknownst to them I have no idea, I would say however, unbeknownst. If they had any idea of what they were doing then they would have appeased Ogun. A sacrifice to Ogun was not given so it was taken by said Ogun. These Hollywood people better employ me to teach them how not to offend nature and its elements. Everything in life needs propitiation, something have to be given over for another to thrive. Human beings has to kill and eat, whether it be animal or plants and this is for survival, it is the way of the world.
People who are Ogun’s children are very strong, sometime very quiet, but when they get angry, run!
People who have a
As we were about to cross a huge street, we were on the service side of the road, a man riding a bicycle rode pass and almost knocked my friend down, as he cycled away, he had the nerve to say, my friend should have moved out of the way. My friend and I began to cross the street, talking about how rude the man was, in the middle of crossing and talking, my friend, who is a big guy in body weight, ran in the direction of the man who was by now down the street at the stop light which held him. For a big guy he was quite the sprinter, I watched as he went up to the mans face, pointing his finger in his face. I could not hear what was being said, I could only see from gestures, the man was apologizing. My friend ran back over to me. He, Ogun takes no disrespect, none!

ARCHETYPES OF ORISHA OSUN – GODDESS OF SWEET WATER, LOVE, AND BEAUTY
I remember as a child living in Kingston Jamaica, my mother at times would send me to a shop on Waltham Park Road which the locals called Bun Dung. A fire had happened there sometime ago, but even after it was renovated and re-opened the name stuck, that is Jamaica. I could either take one of two roads to reach Bun Dung shop on Waltham Park Road, it was either Delamere Avenue or Languard Avenue, it depended on my mood.
At the end of Languard Avenue, right at the corner on the right hand side, beside a betting shop (where peopl bet on horse races), there was a house, and the owner of the house was called Mumzel. I was about six or seven years old then, and people in the community would gossip about Mumzel, saying that she was a prostitute or a madam, because her yard was always filled with many young girls just hanging out, and men solicited favors from them and Mumzel negotiated the deal and got a her share. I remember her yard being painted in White and blue, with a wrap around veranda which had shine red tiles, it was very clean, her yard, with beautifully well kept flowers and trees of all sorts. The walk way leading from her gate unto her veranda was also tiled shinny clean, and superbly well kept.
I would see Mumzel, who all the women whispered about go in and out of her yard, always with a pleasant expression, always smiling and all her girls would be on the veranda laughing and joking all together, they were all nicely dressed and seemed to be having a good time together. They had the love, respect and admiration of men, but the women spoke badly about Mumzel, yet nothing seemed to frazzle her spirit, she was a strong woman.
Mumzel had beautiful black skin, cool, never sweaty or shinny as I remember and she was plump with wide hips and a huge bum, the likes of what Kim Karadashian could not pay for, or could never have, hers was real. Nowadays people look at fat people with disgust, (so sad), but Mumzel who was not obese, she made fat beautiful to how she carried herself.
Mumzel had an amazonian quality about her, yet not in a manly way, she exuded femininity to its core, yet she had an energy which conveyed, I am mistress of my own domain, respect me, she never called respect, it was automatically given to her.
She was always well dressed and neat, she had pretty white teeth, and at the side of her mouth she had a gold tooth (on her eye teeth) which gleamed when she smiled you could almost hear a ping as the gold sparkled from Mumzel’s mouth. She had dimpled cheeks which lit up her face, and she carried her weight as if she had no extra weight at all, she was active.
Mumzel was very pretty (I paid homage to her, name, description and all, in the Trevor story). She seemed confident and strong, and I as a child saw all of that in Mumzel. Whenever she would pass the women who would speak badly about her behind her back, and I am sure she knew this, she would smilingly greet them and they would hypocritically answer her back, hailing her and making much of her while laughing, they would continue gossiping after she had breezed pass leaving a whisper of her sweet perfume in the air.
As a child I admired her, and would often take the Languard avenue route to see her and her beautiful yard, she always smiled with us as children, and would touch us on our heads as she made much of us, sometimes giving us candy, (she seemed to love children, she had at the time only one child, a daughter who was a pre-teen, it was said that Mumzel was very strict with her), which the grown ups would tell us not to eat, for whatever reason, we were not told. There was an energy which came off Mumzel which resonated with me, it was Osun(OSHUN), but I had no idea, she and I were from the same realm, she was apart of my spiritual family unbeknownst to me back then, but very known to my head and my spirit. I had been introduced to my spiritual mother represented in the physical form by Mumzel, but I had not yet the wisdom to understand, only that Mumzel was like a celebrity to me, I was drawn to her spirit and I wanted to be like her, Osun showed me herself through Mumzel.
There was something about Mumzel, even her name that made me in awe of her, and although I have no idea if the rumors were true that she was a prostitute or a madam, I have always secretly wanted to be a madam! I wanted to resemble Mumzel in that way, yes if I was confident enough to enter that world (not being a prostitute, but a madam for my working girls) the idea or the inspiration for that ambition would have come from beautiful Mumzel.
I had no Idea who was Orisha Osun, and as I traveled along life’s way and met my Padrino, (Padrino was lucumi, white Cuban, but he respected Africa and Africans, calling himself African, unlike these nowadays Lucumi practitioners who have no respect for us Africans who are their elders,of whom tradition they are practicing a bastardized version) and became curious of the Ifa/Orisha traditional practice of the Yoruba people of South Western Nigeria, I began to realize that Osun was always close to me, she was never far away from me, I was her child and she was with me.
Padrino had a God child, her name was Connie, an older woman when I met her, but she had a charming personality about her which was mixed with a hint of madness. I am just stating the truth here, no disrespect at all to Connie, her spirit or her head, nor am I making an attempt of humor whatsoever. It was Connie who made me meet Padrino (it was my head, but it used Connie). Connie had been working for another Spanish woman at her Botanica (spiritual shop and religious items and herbs) as a reader.

It was Connie who made me meet Padrino (it was my head, but it used Connie). Connie had been working for another Spanish woman at her Botanica (spiritual shop and religious items and herbs) as a reader.
I was taken to the shop by one of my customers because my shop was under spiritual attack, Connie (who was Lucumi) had connived with the owner of the shop to dupe people into giving them fake Ellegua’s (Lucumi version of Esu or Elegba), they had no idea that I was one who people could not fool with and so after paying for the Ellegua which was supposed to help my business and bringing it to my business place, I did as was told on how to care it, which was giving it coffee and cigar and sweets (not done in Africa). I gave it all I was told, and it was after two weeks I had a dream where a non-physical elder came and told me to throw that S&*T (that is the word they used) away, but put on a tuxedo, which meant that I could not just throw it away like that, it had to be thrown away by way of ritual.
After the dream, I called the shop and Connie who helped prepare the scam Ellegua answered and when I told her the dream, she immediately began to apologize and gave me in secret her home address and phone number, that is how I met my sweet dear Padrino.
Connie had Osun as her Orisha and Obatala, in Lucumi they give father and mother Orisha, not so in Africa. She was a good reader to some degree and what I mean by that is she used tarot cards, nothing wrong with that, Tarot cards diviners (if they know it well) are excellent, I also read cards and I love them ,but she did something I did not like, she would embellish what the spirits told her, meaning she added on her own opinions in the reading, not leaving it all to spirit, so she muddled the reading which would have been otherwise good without her input of self. Not good!
been otherwise good without her input of self. Not good!
Connie, had a personality where she would be sweet one minute and very evil in a second, she always wanted to do bad and dirty work, but complained that she could not, because Obatala restricted her from doing bad. She was like a sinister evil witch who itched to do wicked deeds, but couldn’t for fear of her master. She had big bug eyes, and an screeching laugh like a banshee. She had times when she would squint her bug eyes and tell you things which was the truth, which left you thinking, “How the hell did she know that? Connie was sweet today and sour tomorrow, blowing hot and cold in the blink of an eye. She was not easy to understand. She was happiest when she thought of evil and doing the work. Padrino had to always cool her down with a look, she had real respect and what also seem like fear for him. She reminded me of the saying, “Come into my parlor said the spider to the fly”, because when she was nice, you were drawn to her, temporarily forgetting her other side.
They say the river can get murky at times, and some time it can come down and sweep away many, perhaps Connie was that side of Osun, perhaps!
According to some people they say Osun, although sweet and loving can be (if thwarted) your worse nightmare, she will fight her enemies and if she does this they may not survive. She is water, so she can go into your blood stream, she can flood your house, drown you, make your kidneys fail, give you herpes or de odda ting, poison yuh, dehydrate your body, kill you in child birth, and more, her power is insurmountable, and there is nobody that she cannot get to, unless the person does not use water and who does not use water? I must make it clear however that it takes a lot to get Osun to a place where she will deal with you! She will however act quickly if any of her children are threatened, she nuh play with those that belongs to her.
Yet with Connie, nobody had to thwart her into becoming Lucifer’s personal assistant. Then I wonder how can people not stay upset at her for her offensive and mad (call a spade a spade) ways, including me, I always forgave her and so did everyone. Was it the fault of Lucumi and how they initiated people, how they initiated her? I wondered about that, or was Connie a mad woman before initiation, and the sweetness of Osun was trying to come out (when she was nice) but the madness intervened and sey not ah rass!?
She use to beg me to hurry up and get initiated, because Padrino told her that one day I would become a big witch. Yes, she used the word witch, she could at times be crass, so I paid her no mind.
Connie wore white everyday, and I use to do her hair, she wore Jeri curl. She always had a lot of jewelry on, bangles and bracelets, rings and chains, all gold. Osun’s children loves jewelry, especially gold She also wore contact lens, hazel ones, and tried to look nice always. She was proud of being Omo Osun, child of Osun, but she always complained that Obatala would not allow her the freedom to do Juju, bad Juju, which she loved. Shi love to obeah people. She was an African American woman.
Padrino loved me a lot and she knew this and he predicted many things for me, including that I would be a medium like him, and that I would bring the tradition far, she always heard this and secretly did not like it. Padrino was a very strong Palero and so he would invite me to come to his house late at night so that he would show me how he worked his Palo pot, he would come and get me and take me to do rituals out in nature, Connie did not like that, but she said nothing. Eventually she blocked me from seeing Padrino. Whenever I called she told me that he traveled and she blocked me from him, so that when he died, I had no idea. It was a visit to the realm I went and saw him doing initiation there, when he saw me he hugged me like a long lost daughter, that is how I found out that he had joined his elders. Iba Padrino.
Orisha Osun is the goddess of sweet water, of the rivers, lakes, ponds is a wonderful Orisha. Ore YeYe OOOO, Osun OOOO!
She is a very mysterious Orisha and her children are also mysterious people. Easily mis-understood, yet very compassionate, kind and loving. Read below from the post, The wonderful Orishas;
Osun is owner of the sweet waters, the river, streams, brooks and lakes. She is the Orisha who represents fertility and love, and also wealth, everyone loves Osun, after all who can survive without water? Water has no enemies. She loves honey, sweet-smelling perfumes, powder (its sweet and cool) and jewelry. True Wife of Orunmila, his wife Osun was called Osunfunmilayo, the Osun name I was given at my initiation, it means Osun brings Joy, it was he who taught her the use of cowrie shells.
When Orunmila would travel and people would come to see him, and he was not there, they would leave. Osun complained to her husband about this and so, he taught her to read sixteen Cowrie shells, so that she could divine for people when he is not around, It was Osun who opened the door for women o divine. She is the ultimate woman! She was the first woman’s right activist, it because of Osun why women are so powerful and strong!!
She is beautiful and sensuous, passionate and strong. Her children are amongst the greatest diviners. She is liquid honey and nobody tastes honey and frown. Osun is the water we drink, she is the water that bathes us and keeps us cool, and heals us and feeds us. Osun is responsible for putting families together, she gives babies to parents and she also nurtures them. She is the most popular Orisha and is loved by all. The world could not exist without Osun. Osun’s children in Africa wears white and are always beautifully attired in sequence and lace, she is the Orisha with the comb, she is NOT the mermaid, that would be Yemoja, and her children are very artistic, creative and inventive. Outside of Africa her color is yellow, that is how she entered Cuba. She brings good things. She is mysterious and sharp, loving and gentle, slightly hard to figure out. She is protective and strong and will never allow her children to be shamed, or disgraced. I am a child of the great mother Osun, true owner of Obara Meji! Obara Meji is my Osun!
Archetypes of Osun, not only women, but men and women, are strong people. Osun is to be of a very calm nature. She is at times very quiet, and her speech is never loud. She is not easily annoyed, and she lends an ear to all who needs it. She is wife to Orunmila, and in verses of Ifa, she can be seen, going out to bring customers in for her husband when things are slow for him. In real life, Osun women are the back bone for their men. She is the bread winner for the family, the family head, the glue which holds the family together. Osun can cook (not all archetypes of her in this world are cooks but when you find an woman whose hand is sweet, trust me, it is an Osun woman). Osun is the midwife, She was the first woman in her century (when she lived here on earth with us) to deliver babies, most mid wives are Osun women, she is the healer, the comforter. She loves her children unconditionally she protects them and will damage smaddy fi dem. Osun love little children, all children belongs to Osun. Her job here on earth is to provide children and put families together.
She loves anything which is beautiful or suggests beauty. The African Grey parrot is one of her favorite birds, and she loves ferns. When I travel under Fern Gully in Jamaica, I hail my mother Orisha Osun, Patron Orisha of my sweet sweet of Jamaica. Big up Roaring River in Jamaica, Osun is certainly there, when you go to Jamaica, visit Osun there and bring her a gift and pray.
Unlike Yemoja, who is a bit strict, Osun is forgiving, easy to pity people and embrace them into her bosom again. She is sweet mother, who makes a child feel well the minute she or he sees their mommy, Oore Yeye OOO!
She loves to laugh, she is known as the happy Orisha. During Osun initiation, Osun women will wrap cloth around their breast, leaving their upper torso bare, this is how Osun women wear their cloth, like a tube top dress. Osun is clean and expects her children to be neat and tidy. They should bath daily, have a clean smelling mouth, scent their bodies with sweet smelling perfumes and dress very well even if they are not going out. The must always smell good and fresh. They must love fi bathe!
Within Lucumi, they have Osun has a prostitute, as promiscuous among other things, protectors of Gays and more, not so in Africa, of which Osun comes from. In Africa, in our tradition of Ifa/Orisha where Osun is from, there is no such thing there about the deity such as this fallacy. If I tell an oloorisha person this, they would cry abomination!! So many false tales out there about Osun.
Osun is for family. She puts husband and wife together, she makes a joyous home, she makes people enjoy the noise and play of their children she is for love. Sex is attributed to her, not in a promiscuous way or the way of a whore which is said of her in Lucumi, but by way of having children, producing, being fruitful and multiplying, this cannot be accomplished without the sex act. Osun will attract people, because she is water, and who does not love water, who can do without it? She is sweet and loving, so sex with her children is pleasure filled. Watch the river, see how graceful, watch how she flows, see the sensuality, the fluidity of her movements…Osun OOOOO!!!!

I see Osun on Marilyn Monroe, and on Angelina Jolie. Two very different Osun women in personality traits, but Osun none the less. I see Osun on my daughters, One already crowned her, the other will soon, I see Osun on me.
Remember that all the personality traits which I have written about Osun, is not all found in one person, some can have some and others the rest. It is important to remember this about her however, Osun is very compassionate, loving and forgiving. I always tell people that I am not forgiving, having been hurt by many people in life, but my children laugh and ask me who am I kidding, even if I am vex with a person, if I see them in a predicament I am the first one to render assistance. Mi nuh sure bout that yah now, people too bad.

TRUST – A NECESSARY BUT HARD THING TO DOIt is hard to trust in this life. Almost everyone you meet while travelling along life’s way has an agenda, I said almost. Trust is something very precious and valuable to give but unfortunately there are sinister people who take advantage of trust given to them. When I met The Big Bad Wolf, I trusted him, he gained it by being my friend, by listening to me, by being there for me, all the while gently waiting to seduce me, naive and trusting as I was, I knew it not, I trusted him.
Yet never pouncing on me, nor even trying to woo me. I had no attraction to him as a girl would to a boy, I never saw him in that light, yet after some time I found myself pregnant for him, after one indiscretion. I cannot tell you how it happened, I can only tell you that I cannot regret it, because I love my daughter, she is a gift to me.
I have always been trusting as a young girl growing up, and even when I entered adulthood, and although I had met some very bad people, been betrayed by many, I still had the ability to trust. I refused to see everybody in the same light. I believed deep into my heart that good people were out there. I knew I was one, and so I knew there were others, I could not be the only one.
I admit that I can be naive at times, it is an astrological fault of my birth sign, Aries, they say we are strong, brave, natural born leaders, Queens and Kings among other very strong descriptions, but sadly naive, and I fear that there is some truth to this, after all there has to be balance in everything. This naivety, for me, comes from trusting and believing in people. I cannot tell you how many times I have cried at the betrayal of people whom I trusted and believed in. All my relationships prior to this one, were with wicked men who cared only for themselves, taking advantage of my trust. Even my mother let me down. She never sided with me against an enemy, she took their side, and I am yet to understand to this day why!
I am someone who have always prided myself to being trustworthy. I become indignant if anyone question my integrity or if I can be trusted, because I know deep down who exactly I am, and my capabilities. Once upon a time, people went off the word of another. “I give You my word! was all it took to get a loan or to get a contract, or to gain trust. In these times, these words means nothing, and it is such a great pity, because when you do not have trust then hope is most certainly lost.
A house wife trusts her husband to be faithful to her, she sits at home, doing her chores behaving herself as a good wife should , and believes that he will honor their relationship and not cheat on their marriage, she trusts that he will be truthful and honor her love for him as she honors him, she trust that he will never expose her to the deadly diseases of the world, nor betray her in any way. He is her husband, he will never do that, she knows this and she is relaxed. The same goes for the husband, he trust his wife and believes in their relationship, he knows that she will never violate their bond and so he relaxes.
If only the world could b like that for everyone, and there are relationships out there that honors all that which is supposed to be, but then there is the other side of the coin. Something very hard to deal with.
Parents send their precious children to school, trusting the institution and those working within to care for them and send them back home safe and sound, the children trustingly go and are obedient to their teachers and Head Masters or Head Mistress. They know that they will not be hurt under their care. Again, there are some who violates the trust so carefully placed in their hands.
People seek the services of their Pastors and Bishops for counselling, if they have a problem. They trust that they will not be judged, or their confidence violated, They seek to get advice, or just to have a listening ear, not become victims of the counselors perhaps predatory ways, or be black mailed later on. Trust is always important.
When the missionaries came to Africa to spread their gospel and destroy Africa, it was the trust of Africans they sought to gain first, before they could accomplish their deadly plan. Africa has since been unable to recover from their violation.
This week one of our sometime blogger asked me if she could post the Invitation on Face Book, she is a loving person, a very god human being, I like her a lot, her intentions were pure and good. At first I thought it would be HER Face Book page it would be posted on and so I agreed, but then she told me that it would be her friends page, I still agreed. She sent me the responses and most were very negative, I was so hurt. I spoke to blogger Ty about it yesterday and she helped sooth my ruffled feelings, and helped the pain I felt, mi nah lie, an oonuh nuh laugh afta me, lol
Some people said people should be careful that I they don’t end in in my cooking pot, and more, the comments are too vile to be repeated, maybe I am too sensitive ( although I do not believe I am, I am loving, but never too sensitive), but it was very painful to me. I immediately told the blogger to have her friend remove it. I then went to check my G mail and found that two of the people from the page contacted me for details about the trip. I responded to them both sending them my phone number and asking for theirs, in case they felt Africa too expensive to call. I did that, because I wanted them (who were not my bloggers) to hear a real person speak to them, since they do not know me nor have they ever heard of me, which was some of the comments on Face book while they strung me up for a hanging!
I thought to myself, “Such a pity, that the inhabitants of the world have destroyed the meaning of trust, because here I am, a genuinely good person with good intentions, not having any agenda, or bad intention with this invite and here were people making a joke out of someone as kind natured and loving as me, O ma Se O!..The pain was too much, I lost my appetite for the day, I was very bothered.
One responded that I should skype with him instead (he wrote in CAPS), and the other was very rude, and by this I mean responding with EXCLAMATION POINTS, saying that they would not send their phone number (remember I had sent my own, but the response suggested the nerve of me asking for their number! like mi aguh stalk dem, oonuh si de libatty?), they said I should send the itinerary and if they have any questions then they would let me know…a bag ah exclamation afta dat. (Another me ooda email ah proper “guh suck yuh mumma”, but mi ah madda ooman and Osun representative, suh mi Kibba and quat!).
Standing on ceremony, when yuh waan cuss some big duttie bad wud, painful ei nuh man! But I stood……., on ceremony that is.
I responded that I wrote the invitation on my blog for my bloggers and peepers, and it was a blogger who opted, with my permission to share it on Face Book, I did not invite the world!
I responded that I wrote the invitation on my blog for my bloggers and peepers, and it was a blogger who opted, with my permission to share it on Face Book, I did not invite the world!
First let me say, that this sometime blogger, is very nice. I am happy to have met her (well not actually met, but you get what I mean), and by doing what she did, she only want to help me by getting more people to come on the trip, because she genuinely likes me and the blog, she is a good person. She felt bad at the responses and told me so in the email she sent me with the comments.
I was deeply hurt by this, because as I said up top, I become indignant when my character is questioned. My husband was at the Palace, where he goes for their chiefs meeting twice per week with the King of our town. When he came home he saw me looking somber. He asked me what was wrong and I told him the unfavorable and down right insults which were given to the post and he sat beside me and said.
“Honey, you cannot blame them, calm down”…He said that in this world where we live there are so many deceptive wicked people out there, it is hard for people to trust, worse people they do not know. He said granted, they did not have to be so insulting or rude in the comments, but again they saw an invite and right away thought of scam and deceit, it is the way of the world he said, do not let it get to you.
I sat on the couch in my parlor while he went into the room to change and pondered on what he said for a while, and finally calmed down enough to realize that he was absolutely correct. Gone are the days of trust. It was very brave of me to invite you all, my bloggers and peepers to come to Nigeria to me, and none of us knows each other, other than being a family here on the blog. Yet I did the invite because I do feel as if I know you all, personally. I do feel as if you all are my family, and I trust all of you and hope that you all trust me too.
As I typed the invitation, I imagined all of us on the compound in Africa (I can be childishly silly at times, and I love it), dancing to the drummers in the yard. I imagined Cami, in her shades sitting under our mango tree, Cami has some white (I imagine her like this) pretty teeth, so mi si har with a Colgate grin, at a secret joke she made to her self, Ty and Yw under the tent outside sipping some lemonade while feeling the cool African breeze watching the old women dance to the drummers, I saw Nunu curiously looking at Esu’s shrine and Yazzy laughing at Nunu’s facial expression. I saw Kia, MTh and Toy in a conversation and a smiling Charles some where in the mix. I saw me and Sea Queen talking and my husband smiling with all of us, you all get the drift. While I typed the invitation, I saw all of us here together in Nigeria having a great time. I am sincerely a loving person.
I knew that you all would not hesitate to come, and I also knew that I would spare no expense just to make you all happy and enjoy your trip, safe with me and my husband. This trip is not a money venture or of gain for me or the Otun Araba, if anything, it will cost us plenty, but I genuinely wanted all of you, my people, (peepers included) to experience Africa and our tradition here, first hand, and with me Obara Meji, someone you trust.
As I said earlier, I have been deceived by many people along life’s way, because I trusted them. My own God mother who has since died, violated my trust. So did my Jamaican Oluwo and others I have met through my journey in life, and so I am cautious, but I still believe that there are trustworthy people out there, they maybe few and far in between, but they exist. I am one, of that I am sure.
Even little children and dogs seeks to establish trust before they will be at ease with people.
It is never good to take advantage of a persons trust. If you are placed into a position of trust, please honor it, because it is a special gift and very rare nowadays.

Trust is important in life, without trust, life becomes intolerable. How can people have relationships , good and meaningful relationships without trust? Trust is fundamental to life. Without trust paranoia sets in, without trust your are plagued with a sense of doom. Lack of trust destroys marriages and makes intimacy impossible. We ought to be able to trust, but there are so many wicked people in the world that it makes it hard. The Jerry Springer show is about misplaced trust, often times seeing lovers confess their sins to their unsuspecting partners. Even in the work place, back stabbers looms, but can we live our lives in doubt and fear because of lack of trust? This would surely drive many insane. Doctors would have no patients and police would be out of work, the world would be in even more chaos.
The people on Face Book who made disparaging remarks about me (dem class me up bloggers, class mi to de grung, dem put mi inna one big duttie scandal bag!!) I admit that they do not know me, they have not heard of me or the blog and they have the right to distrust mnay things in their life, but I do not believe that they should have been so insulting, being that they do not know me, and the person who the Face Book belongs to, had to be jokingly excusing himself almost apologizing to them, saying that he only posted it as a favor to his friend, that is our blogger.
Lack of trust brings misery and many hurtful things. I urge all people (big ambition mi have in writing this) to respect the trust given to you in life, in any area of your life. Never violate a persons trust, care for people as you would want them to care for you. Love conquers all. Learn to trust, and carry yourself in a manner where people will trust you. Be smart, because the world is filled with sinister people, but also remember that good people still exist, so keep Hope alive!
Bloggers and Peepers and even sometimers, by now I know that you realize that I share most of the happenings of my life, emotions and deep feelings with you daily, I trust you not to judge me! lol, I trust you!
Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.

The world is chaotic and everyday we seek to find balance, so of course there will be some who will have more than others. But if you look through “the rest” (those without), they are rich in other areas that are necessary to aid even those who “have”.
But many people are unaware how wealthy they are without money.

–

She is a very mysterious Orisha and her children are also mysterious people. Easily mis-understood, yet very compassionate, kind and loving. Read below from the post, The wonderful Orishas;

Oore Yeye O

William Shakespeare
Trust is the glue of life. It’s the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It’s the foundational principle that holds all relationships.
